Transformers Movie release 07/04/07
The Transformers movie will be out 07/04/07. After I looked at this image of the new Megatron I couldn't help but feel disappointed. After all I had the toys, sheets, and the movies when I was a kid. This looks nothing like Megatron from the cartoon. That thing should be in another movie. Plus it turns into a alien jet instead of a gun. Now why couldn't they just had him transform into some kick ass gun still. They don't have this image on their site. Probably so people won't get pissed until they actually see the movie.
Another problem is that instead of using some of the many thousands of transformers that people already love, they made a bunch of new ones. What the hell, why do they always do that? Is it so they can sell new toys? What would be wrong with having a bunch of the old school transformers and some new kick ass ones? The way it is now, they should of just made a movie about robots and not called it the Transformers.
I think most kids will love the movie and it's really for them. However what would be wrong with staying true to the toy's and cartoon. That way old school fans are happy. It would be great to tell your kid " I use to have Megatron when I was a kid, I even had the sheets too" and you kid would be really impressed. Now you have to tell your kid " What in the fuck did they do to Megatron...fucking idiots. Those assholes fucked this movie up".
Well I just hope there is allot of fighting in the movie. It doesn't really matter. I'll download it from http://www.isohunt.com/ . So I really can't bitch about something I don't plan on paying for. lol

This thing looks almost alive when the guy kicks it to knock it over. Looks like military robots like the ones below in this Metal Gear Solid 4 trailer aren't far off at all. Scary thought isn't it. Play both movies at once for the full effect.

Minority Report interface prototype 2
Think of the what is possible. One idea I have is that you could draw a box to make an new window (something I have already seen done) then you could assign any type of file to that new window. Draw a line from the box to a floating keyboard on the screen now the keyboard is inputting data into that window. Open another window and draw another line to the keyboard now both are receiving input. Touch one of the lines to lock it out, press it again to unlock. You can see where this is going. You could even bring up another window draw a line to the keyboard at easily make it so only that window is receiving input then quickly switch back to sending input to them all. Wow, another idea I just had is that as you drag files into a section of the screen and it automatically applies a set of changes to it. So you could batch process things just by grabbing them and throwing them to part of the screen. One example of this would be applying changes to images. You could have multiple areas like this set up. Like I said before the possibilities with this are endless.
Minority Report-like Touch Screen
Another example of next generation interface technology. This technology is going to blow up soon and completely change the way we interact with machines forever. This is going to dramatically improve the way future software is made.
Multi-touch interface
The next generation of computer interface. Trust me this is the next big thing. Say goodbye to your mouse and keyboard. This line of technology is going to evolve to epic levels.

Review of UFO Extraterestials for the PC
First of all the legendary X-com sucks balls. http://pc.ign.com/articles/772/772285p3.html Why is this game listed as number one PC game of all time of on sites like http://www.ign.com/. I was sick of seeing this game at number one all the time so I decided to try UFO Extraterestials which is a modern day clone of X-com. I was getting bored waiting for it to download, when I grabbed X-com real quick to try it out, after all it's "the best PC game of all fucking time". To my surprise it was a total flaming piece of shit. This game does not deserve to be number one on any list, unless it's a list of hyped up bullshit. It has not with stood the test of time and is no longer fun to play. Games like Mario Bros 3 or even Archon can still be fun so therefore are great games, but X-com these days is just a pain in the ass to play. I gave up trying to play it after maybe 30 mins. X-com go fuck yourself. OK so I was like maybe this UFO Extra.. game will be be better, after all it came out this year. Boy was I wrong. X-com is actually easier to control. UFO ran like shit on my PC and my specs are better then average. With games like Icedwind Dale III and the Fallout series why was no attempt made to make the strategic combat better on this game then X-com. Acually its alot worse because the cursor is so hard to control. The graphics are another thing. While X-com might have looked ok back in it's day, UFO's graphics and sound suck donkey dick. It also has load screens popping up in the middle of the A.I's turn, what a fucking joke. That was it, I was done, I played a little longer then uninstalled the piece of shit. Anyone that clones a game that sucked in the first place and makes it worse ten years later deserves to die. Sure at the time it sounded like a good idea to play a modern day clone of the best PC game of all time, the only problem was the best PC game of all time is a piece of shit not worthy of its title and its clone is a bigger piece of shit built by complete morons. UFO Extraterestials gets a a fat zero out of ten.

The Magic HD-DVD Key

Wanna know what’s so important about it?
It’s the HD-DVD Processing Key for most movies released so far. This means the (admittedly long) number is precisely the key you need in order to decrypt and watch HD-DVD movies in Linux (oh, okay, maybe software is also required). And the fact that it’s out there, spreading like wildfire, is killing the types at the movie studios right now.
Now, even if this number stopped working (and it will, thanks to the revocation procedures in HD-DVD’s encryption scheme) or if it were a hoax, the decryption system has already been figured out and is implemented in a software program called BackupHDDVD.
It can be done with DVDs and DeCSS, and you can use your trusty MPlayer to play any DVD movie. We will eventually (rather soon) be able to view HD-DVDs in Linux as well (because the codecs are already there, even if they are illegal in some countries).
